About

Hey! Good to see you. This website provides you with product recommendations and reviews for a variety of niches. One topic that is near and dear to me and that you will find popping up left and right on this website is the subject of all subjects: fitness and nutrition – our (hopefully!) healthy lifestyle. 🙂

Another one is camping. I actually have an RV camping website where I discuss and review all things RV like RV covers, etc.

Back to the fitness and nutrition topic now. We know that a lot of people are overweight. That’s a fact. We are a part of the statistics. Here’s another fact for you: Take the US here, where (according to the Centers for Decease Control and Prevention) more than 36% of adults are overweight and, as a consequence, are more likely than others to face obesity-related conditions like heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer – some of the leading causes of preventable death. That’s more than every third person you know – including yourself. Some sources say that an estimated 160 million Americans are either obese or overweight. And while this for various reasons, of course, it is mainly due to the fact that a lot of us don’t live a healthy lifestyle. We eat the wrong things and don’t move enough. We spend way too much time watching TV instead of exercising. No wonder that sooner or later we end up obese.

I don’t judge a book by it’s cover. All I’m saying is that if you don’t live healthy, you won’t be healthy. You will be overweight or obese. I’ve been there and it wasn’t fun. I hated it.

Let me confess. I once was overweight and managed to get from 242 pounds to 170 pounds.

  • I know how it feels like when the belly is in the way when you want to tie your shows.

  • I know how it feels like when the simple act of tying your shoes makes you breathe and sweat like it’s a marathon.

  • I know how it feels like when you only wear larger sized clothes so people don’t notice that you have too many pounds.

  • I know how it feels like not wanting to go swimming.

  • I saw myself in a storefront window and was embarrassed by my big belly.

  • I was angry.

We all have our specific situations and conditions and I’m not judging anyone out there. Some can’t escape the situation due to health reasons, some can’t due to lack of willpower (I was in that category for a long time), etc. For me, it all changed when one of my kids was born and I realized that I needed to change if I wanted to live longer and get more time on this planet together with my kids and my wife. On top of this, right around the same time, my doctor asked me during my annual physical: “Hey man, do you want to be bald and fat?” Harsh, I know, but it did the trick for me and from then on I was ready for a change. 🙂 The point here is that anyone can change. You can change if you want to. All it takes is that one spark.

You don’t live a healthy lifestyle, you feel miserable and you’re likely to die sooner. It’s a simple as that. Obviously, living a healthy lifestyle does not guarantee you a long and healthy life but if you live a healthy life with proper nutrition and exercise, you do everything you can to set yourself up for success which, in most cases, leads to a healthy and longer life. It takes a bit of work to live healthy. But a potentially longer and healthier life is the greatest reward one can get. That simple truth has been motivating me ever since I started to change and later, it helped me maintain my lifestyle. Everyone has to have their own light bulb moment (I had a long list of excuses and you may have some, too) – maybe for you it’s thinking about your kids, your grandkids, your partner, etc. and wanting to be there for them and spend as many years with them as possible. Please don’t get me wrong though. I’m not saying you can’t enjoy life or you’re gonna die tomorrow if you don’t follow a strict nutrition and exercise program. You define your own happiness. I, for example, really did enjoy life very much even when I had too many pounds but that was short sighted. A huge portion of chicken fried steak, I learnt, is nothing more but instant gratification. It doesn’t last. And maybe you would love to change but can’t for medical reasons. Again, this doesn’t mean the world is coming to an end and there may be other ways – more appropriate than the fitness and nutrition programs reviewed on this website – to tackle your challenges to an extent that is possible and reasonable from a medical perspective. You know what I mean, don’t you?

Everyone must define for themselves how far they can and want to take it in terms of exercise and nutrition. There’s no point in embarking on such a lifestyle journey if you can’t for medical reasons and if it would be dangerous for you. The remainder of this page focuses on the situation that you are able to tackle the challenges from a medical standpoint and that you can put in the work to get you (back) on track.

By the way, please consult your physician and have a physical examination prior to beginning any weight training, cardio training, dieting, etc. as they can be demanding activities. And proceed with any suggested exercises, nutrition strategies and routines at your own risk.

Do you want to be in better shape, become super duper fit, grow your muscles a bit (or a lot) and maybe even have a six pack? You try to take care of yourself, don’t you? Then you have to adjust your daily routine to that. Or are you OK with having a normal weight (maybe not the six pack) and body (not Arnold’s)? My goal was to land somewhere between the two. I didn’t want to spend all day in the gym and not be able to eat or drink something yummy every now and then. I didn’t want to live on cottage cheese and chicken without anything. 🙂 The good news is that there are solutions and programs to achieve a healthy lifestyle without suffering! More on that on this website. When I started to eat less and exercise, I noticed that it was pretty easy to lose weight fast by eating less and exercising daily. Really. Once your body and brain flipped the switch and you don’t eat that second or third plate, it’s easy. What took more time for me was to build muscle. While I was losing weight, I wasn’t taking in enough energy to be able to build on that front. What I learned is that it takes the right balance of exercise and nutrition. And building muscle won’t happen over night. It takes a while. Plain and simple. The good news here as well is that there are solutions and programs to achieve the right balance. Such a program helped me. The recommended programs and products reviewed on this page would have helped me a lot back then as they would have made sure that I’m not only losing weight but also building muscle at the same time. So, how about we tackle this problem together now and I’ll provide you with the recommendations and reviews I think will make you successful and help you get where you want to get? Alright? You’re in? Let’s do this! I would have never thought that, one day, I’d be recommending things to people. But since I didn’t have anyone recommending the right things to me when I started out, I’d like to make it easier for you.

  • Remember when you were in high school and fit as can be?

    • Admit it. You thought about that. You’d love to look and feel like that again. At least I wanted to.

  • Can you recall what a lean belly feels like?

    • I’m sure you can.

  • Face it!

    • All it takes to get this back is some work. It’s so worth it.

Please note that I won’t do some BS reviews of products and programs on this website. The internet is full of fake reviews and I get a headache reading them. You know, the ones where the reviewer has no clue what they’re talking about and where they list “cons” that are really hidden “pros”. Like when you go to a job interview and they ask you for your weaknesses and you give them a list of “weaknesses” that are strengths in reality? Ugh, I hate those. So expect my honest opinion and nothing else. If I’m enthusiastic about something, I’ll let you know and then I support and recommend it. Otherwise, I won’t. You’ll be able to tell.

By the way, the content on this website including the recommendations and reviews will continue to evolve so please stop by on a regular basis. The content will also go way beyond fitness and nutrition and branch into many different areas of your life. I’ll go wherever I feel I can add value by providing you with facts and my opinion.

We participate in affiliate programs with ClickBank and other sites and, as such, will earn a commission if you order the reviewed and promoted programs and products through links from this site.
